Continuing to see people avoiding O2 in COPD pt with fear "ittl stop their drive" This hasnt been true in a long time, heres a couple of papers on it. So go ahead give them O2 within reason, we should never be expecting these people to be at the 98% pulse ox, due to their disease, but shouldnt be forcing them to make up for their hypoxemia on their own without O2. So in conclusion O2 doesnt stop their drive to breath, but used willy nilly like we see it can be detrimental similar to chest pain pt getting max O2.
